Kent's Elham Valley

Welcome to The Elham Valley

Nestled midway between Canterbury and Folkestone, Elham is situated within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Linking these two centres, is the Elham Valley Way, a 21 mile promoted footpath, passing over fields and woods through the village providing a challenging encounter for the long distance walker.

 The Way largely traverses the track of the old Canterbury – Folkestone railway which closed in 1947.

The pretty village of Elham hosts some wonderful historic houses of Kent together with welcoming pubs, and log fires in the winter.  Try the Rose and Crown or the Kings Arms and you will not be disappointed.

On the High Street are the friendly Cosy Tea Rooms where one can relax over a cup of tea or cappuccino and indulge oneself in homemade delights. The warmth of the locals, the tranquility of the walks, and the rolling backdrop of the countryside all go together to make Elham a very special place.
