The original home to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from 1921 - 1924. The house was
built in 1904 for Count Louis Zborowski who was the millionaire racing driver
son of a Polish Count and an American mother. He designed and built three
aero-engined cars with assistance from his engineer Captain Clive Gallop.
These cars were all known as "Chitty Bang Bang". The Higham, Special was also
built here and became known as "Babs". Unfortunately the car overturned and
the driver, Parry Thomas was killed. The car was buried in the sand until 1969
when Owen Wyn Owen exhumed "Babs" and rebuilt her.
